Earn a degree in an energy-related field and practice principles of environmental conservation on the job. Students in energy-related programs like bio-resource engineering, geohydrology, and powerplant technology reap the rewards of a hands-on approach, visiting windfarms, biking to oil refineries and testing fuel efficiency.
Join the ranks of Montanans working in energy careers. Equipped with an energy-related degree, Montana University System graduates are especially prepared to staff the state's rapidly expanding energy sector. No other state in the Union has more potential for alternative energies like windpower, solar power and biodeisel.
Develop healthier, more efficient ways of creating and distributing energy. Researchers at Montana universities are actively researching energy technologies, from building more weather-resistant wind turbines to distributing alternative energy more effectively. With our researchers continually uncovering new advancements, Montana University System resides on the cutting edge of energy use and conservation. Discover the types of energy related research occurring in the Montana University System.
Whether it is in our schools, at work, or in our homes, Montanans are living green. We're proud that so many Montanans personally engage in green habits: commuting by bicycle, recycling and reusing, and making energy-efficient improvements to their homes.
